New research from Remember a Charity has highlighted a lack of understanding of inheritance tax among UK Pensioners. Worryingly it also discovered that over a tenth of British adults are not planning on writing a Will.

According to the charity ‘Remember a Charity in your Will’

• 74% of the UK Population support charities,

• 35% of which say that they would like to leave a gift in their Will to their chosen charity

• only 7% actually ever do

leaving a charitable gift in a will can not only create additions funds for use within good causes in the UK but it could have the potential to reduce inheritance tax liability.
